Due dates follow the French contrôle technique rule: first test 4 years after first registration, then every 2 years; 5 years then every 3 years for a motorcycle. The interval can be adjusted.

What Staticar does, and how.
How does the roadworthiness test reminder work?
Staticar follows the French contrôle technique rule: first test 4 years after first registration (5 years for a motorcycle), then every 2 years (3 years for a motorcycle) from the last test. The interval can be adjusted if your country's rules differ. If you don't know the date of your last test, the app asks for it instead of showing a false overdue alert. You are notified 30 days before, 7 days before and on the due day.
How is fuel consumption calculated?
From full tank to full tank. Enter the odometer when you fill up (it is prefilled with your last reading) and keep "Full tank" ticked. A partial fill-up counts towards the next full tank, and an "I forgot the previous refuel" box keeps the result honest. The first figure appears after two full tanks with an odometer reading.
And the cost per kilometre?
It is the total of your expenses over the last 12 months, divided by the distance driven over the same period according to your odometer readings. Rental income is not counted. Without a known distance, the app shows no figure rather than a false zero.
Is the app free?
Yes. Staticar is free, with no ads and no account to create.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone only. Staticar has no server and no sync, and the app does not have the Internet permission. If Android backup is turned on, Android may include this data in your Google account backup.
